Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - July 15-16, 2006

July 13, 2006- The 2006 AAU National Open Powerlifting Championships are set to take place at the Biltmore Hotel in Oklahoma City.

The competition is divided by sex, age, weight, and ability level and will include: the squat, the bench press, and the deadlift.

With approximately 150 athletes expected for this prestigious powerlifting event, the competition should be fierce. Awards will be given to the 1st-3rd place finishers in each division. In addition, there will be an outstanding lifter in each of the three lifting events: squat, bench press, and deadlift.

Actual competition in the 2006 AAU National Open Powerlifting Championships is set to begin on Saturday, July 15 and end on Sunday, July 16. This weekend event is something no powerlifting enthusiast can afford to miss.
